From Debasecamp Burning Man Wiki
"Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints."
Pack it in, Pack it Out. Leave No Trace is not just a motto, it's a way of life. On the playa, winds are usually high and change quickly. This means that anything that can blow away, will blow away. So, make sure your trash is secured and never let anything hit the ground.
This also applies when out and about on the playa. If you have a pocket, you can pick up that piece of trash sailing by you as you walk the esplanade. People might even start clapping when they see you do it. Try it! It's fun.
When leaving BRC, don't leave your trash behind. Don't leave early in an empty car and assume "the others will get it." Don't let your friends drop off trash from another camp just to fit your stuff.
Finally, once we have struck camp and are ready to leave, the camp must be combed to pick up any small debris. The entire campsite must be looked over before leaving. Our hard work will save hours of work for the wonderful staff and volunteers that remain on the playa, and makes future burns possible.
